This list is not definitive, please use your common sense when caring for your new treasure.
- Your special edition may come wrapped in protective plastic and/or film. Be careful when removing this to avoid scratching your book and/or its case.
- Each book is unique! Minor variations in the color and texture of the finish are normal and there may be small imperfections or variations from one book to the next in any foiling or other features due to the manufacturing process.
- Printed or gilt edges may stick together when the book is initially opened. Gently hold the pages together and softly bend the stack by curling it to one side to separate the pages.
- Books are treasures not toys! Do not pick up the book in a way that will cause it to tear or break apart (e.g. by only front or back cover, the ribbon etc.).
- Prolonged handling of the book can cause wear from the heat and oils in your hands. While reading, it is recommended to leave the dust jacket on!
- Use a soft, dry and clean cloth to gently wipe away any lint, dust, or marks. Do not scrub or scratch the finish!
- Lotions, hand creams, oils, or sweat on your skin may leave smudges on the book.
- Do not set objects on the book that may leave marks or dents in the finish.
- Do not store your book in a place of high humidity or moisture.
