I absolutely devoured this in one sitting and could not get enough! It’s definitely darker than her normal books but I am here for it! The story is full of feminine rage, as well as strength and tenacity. Florienne is a bada$$ and I’ve added her to my top FMCs. Drayven embodies some of my fave MMC characteristics with his own tortured hero vibes. Lana packs a lot of story into this 150 odd page story and I could have so many more books from her and Drayven’s story! One of my fave quotes is, “No cage can hold a storm” and a force she is. These two together bring Romantasy, Dark Romance, and Contemporary together with childhood friends, masked MMC, small age gap, touch her and unalive, MINE, F* it moment, dystopian, magic, seduction and slow burning spice, it was always you, and more. Loved it all!!!
